The SIL 20 for 2.0 Team wishes to thank Helene Blowers of the Public Libraries of Charlotte Mecklenberg County for developing the original Learning 2.0 program and sharing this program with the library community worldwide. Our program was built upon not only the PLCMC program but those of King County Library System, Skokie Public Library, as well. Without the help of these libraries, we would have no program.

On your own–just do it.

If you’re here, you may be thinking about starting the 20 for 2.0 project, and have some questions.

  1. So I missed the original iteration of 20 for 2.0, where do I begin? Start off with thing 1 which will answer a few questions and direct you to creating a blog.  You’re going to need a blog to track your progress and talk about the things you’ve learned.
  2. What if I need help? Formal support for the 20 for 2.0 project has ceased, so you’ll be on your own in a way.  You can read help pages for the sites you visit.  Go to the participant blogs and see if anyone has any tips that may help you.  It’s unlikely you’ll be answered if you leave a comment or question on these blogs, because most blogs are no longer being maintained.  Your friends and coworkers are good resources, so ask them for help.
  3. But the 2.0 blog has information that makes it look like staff help is available, what’s up? The 2.0 blog has not been updated and though it’s still up, it is no longer being monitored.  Information about the projects, and comments may contain helpful information, use them but don’t expect that if  leave a comment or question that you’ll receive an answer from the 2.0 team since we’ve stopped visiting the site.

Enjoy the journey
